We ship camcorder kits to couples anywhere in South Africa. Your guests film the day themselves, on real camcorders, and our editors cut the footage into a highlight film. We deliver to Cape Town, the Winelands, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Johannesburg and Pretoria, and everywhere in between.

We also film weddings in London and across the EU.

What it costs

Packages start at R8,000 and shipping is included. There is a refundable R3,000 deposit per camcorder, returned the moment the kit is back with us. See the packages.

Why guests filming works

A single videographer cannot be in the room where your gran is crying, the bathroom debrief and the dance floor at the same time. Twenty guests with camcorders can be, and they get the moments nobody performs for a camera.

It is a different thing to a traditional wedding video, not a worse one. Plenty of couples book both.

How much does wedding camcorder hire cost in South Africa?

Packages start at R8,000. Standard is R8,000, Premium is R13,000 and Deluxe is R25,000, with shipping included anywhere in South Africa. There is a refundable R3,000 deposit per camcorder, taken off the total once the kit comes back.

How far in advance should we book?

Couples usually book 2 to 12 months ahead, and gifts often come in 2 weeks to 3 months out. We only have so many camcorders, so peak season dates go first, but if your date is close, ask anyway.

Do our guests need to know how to film?

No. The kit includes an instruction card and a recommended shot list, and the camcorders are tested, charged and ready to roll. We do suggest picking a Camcorder Captain to keep an eye on things on the day.

How long does the film take to arrive?

The first version lands in your inbox 3 weeks after the camcorders have returned and the final version 4 weeks after. Films run 1 to 5 minutes depending on your package.

Do you deliver outside Cape Town and Johannesburg?

Yes. We ship anywhere in South Africa at no extra cost, including the Winelands, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Pretoria, and we film in London and the EU too.
